Business Developer


Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Developer to join our team at Pathway. Your primary objective will be to drive commercial activities and build our brand in MedTech, leveraging your technical credibility and industry connections.

You will help Pathway expand our market presence and capabilities in the medical device industry.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, specifically in the medical device industry

  • Strong understanding of medical device technology and market trends

  • Experience in consulting and service sales, with a track record of successful partnerships and business growth

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to form and manage teams to win large and complex bids

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to create and implement a strategic roadmap for business development

  • Experience in contract negotiation and marketing of consulting services

Desirable qualifications and skills include:

  • Experience working at a senior level within a medical device company or technical consultancy

  • Industry profile, such as conference speaking, papers, and sector articles

  • Good regulatory and quality-based understanding in the management of medical device development (e.g. ISO 13485:2016)

  • Experience of both marketing and direct selling of consulting services

This role requires frequent travel both within the UK and overseas, and we are open to part-time applicants (minimum of 20 hours per week).
